Job Description - Kenl Inn – Full-Time Position


The Guest Services Supervisor is responsible for supervising customer service agents, reservation sales, retail
inventory, processing invoices & payments, financial end-of-day closing procedures and administrative duties in
support of these functions for the Company. Additionally, they are responsible for supervising and ensuring the
maintenance and cleaning of the reception/retail area/public areas. Reports to the General Manager.

Primary Duties

Customer Service
a. Our priority is servicing the clients by greeting everyone who enters and helping.
b. Telephone calls by CSR’s and Reservations should be processed daily to new and existing clients as a
follow-up to monitor satisfaction.

Managing Staff
a. Monitor reservations & invoice processing to ensure procedures are properly followed.
b. Monitor contractual paperwork processing & expired.
c. Monitor monthly customer service agents.

Training Receptionist/Cashiers
a. Train inexperienced staff in accordance with training checklists, i.e. Dog Gurus, Fear Free etc.
b. Ensure regular checks on work conducted to ensure consistency.

Retail Inventory
a. Assist clients in sale of retail inventory.

Other Job Duties

Management Projects
a. Create member renewal emails and ensure member listing & point of sale software are properly
updated.

Administrative
a. Prepare cash and check bank deposits for management.
b. Check email throughout day, return messages within 24 hours of receipt and monitor that info email
account is also managed timely.
c. Manage credit card on file process to ensure signature forms are maintained for all clients and cards
have not expired.

Other:
a. Cleaning tasks as outlined and performed daily


Minimum Experience, Skills, Certifications or Academic Background Required

  1. High school graduate, college preferred
  2. 2 – 4 years’ experience providing client service and processing payments
  3. 2 - 3 years' experience supervising / managing a team for 6 associates or more
  4. Good financial acumen necessary
  5. Excellent written, oral communication skills and key player
  6. Good mathematical and selling skills
    Hourly Rate – depends on experience - $19.00 - $22.00 an hour, plus department tips.

Job Overview:

The Pet Grooming Stylist is responsible for ensuring all pets are properly groomed and finished using humane practices and
minimizing pet stress. Additionally, the Pet Grooming Stylist is responsible for assisting bathers/brushers and the maintenance
and cleaning of the groom shop.

The Pet Grooming Stylist is responsible for communication with clients regarding pet grooming needs or behavior
issues/concerns. They also assist with mentoring team members to improve their skill set, train bather/brushers and assist with
dog skin or health issues within the facility. The Pet Grooming Stylist reports to the Grooming Manager and or Grooming
Supervisor.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

-Oversee groom functions for those pets to ensure completion as requested by client and described on the groom card
or instruction form. Provide an attractive pet style that meets the client’s expectations and is appropriate for the pet.

-Ensure bathers/brushers prepare dogs for grooming in accordance with procedures.

-Observe dog’s coat conditions and when necessary, recommend shaving downs versus dematting of pets.

-Ensure receptionist is advised of extra charges required for brush-out, dematting or assistance fees.

-Finish dogs as described in procedures.

-Bathe dogs/cats as needed.

-Manage your groom’s schedule to ensure departure times are met or clients are notified in advance of delays.

-Keep grooming stations stocked with supplies, tools clean and ready for use.

-Ensure bathers/brushers keep groom shop clean.
a. During the workday, keep the room safe by wiping up water spills and pet accidents as soon as possible.
b. At the end of each workday all hair should be swept/mopped from floor and cleaned from tubs/shower.
c. Holding cages should be ready for the next day’s arrivals.

-Update pet status on white board and point of sale system. Advise receptionist when dogs that are to be “called when
ready” are finished.

-Always follow safety procedures for pets and staff. Help when a pet is stressed, difficult to manage or show any signs
of injury.

-Monitor your bathing dogs & cats to ensure procedures are properly followed and constructive feedback is provided to
as needed.

-Maintain procedures for all animal care/bathing functions making changes as needed and proposing new procedures
to management.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES

-High school graduate

-Excellent oral & good written communication skills

-Professional groom school graduates preferred or similar grooming experience

-Proven pet handling experience

-Initiative-taking, independent worker with attention to detail

-Ability to work in a team environment

-Ability to work in a flexible AM / PM, seven-day (one weekend day), client-driven schedule

-Good decision and problem-solving skills

Job Overview:

A Pool Status or On-Call Pet Care Attendant attends to and cares for pets such as dogs, cats, birds, and other pets within a (24)
hour notice at our KENL INN facility. Great opportunity for high school and college students to pick up a few hours a month with
great pay. Job requirements may be cleaning and maintaining pet areas, taking dogs on nature hikes or managing our daycare yards
while the dogs are outside. Reports to Kennel Supervisor or Manager, for proper direction, interpretation, and evaluation. Maintains
and guarantees KENL INN, INC. quality and safety standards.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

● Provide water for pets according to schedule and instructions

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintenance and Repairs: Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems to ensure they are in optimal working condition.
  • Emergency Response: Respond promptly to emergency situations, such as power outages, plumbing leaks, and equipment failures, and take necessary actions to mitigate the impact on guests and staff.
  • Equipment Monitoring: Monitor and maintain facility equipment, including to ensure its reliability and safety.
  • Energy Efficiency: Implement energy-saving measures and eco-friendly practices to reduce utility costs and minimize the facilities environmental footprint.
  • Project Management: As requested by General Manager
