Job Overview:
A Pool Status or On-Call Pet Care Attendant attends to and cares for pets such as dogs, cats, birds, and other pets within a (24)
hour notice at our KENL INN facility. Great opportunity for high school and college students to pick up a few hours a month with
great pay. Job requirements may be cleaning and maintaining pet areas, taking dogs on nature hikes or managing our daycare yards
while the dogs are outside. Reports to Kennel Supervisor or Manager, for proper direction, interpretation, and evaluation. Maintains
and guarantees KENL INN, INC. quality and safety standards.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
● Provide water for pets according to schedule and instructions
● Cleans and disinfects pet areas
● Transfers pets between quarters and adjusts controls to regulate temperature and humidity of pets’ quarters.
● Maintains pet enclosures, fenced yards, hiking equipment, and other KENL INN property as assigned
● Plays and hikes with pets and summarizes activity on forms provided for pet owners.
● Attends Company sponsored training events targeted for continuing personal and professional growth and development.
● Observes safety and security procedures, determines appropriate action beyond guidelines, and reports potentially unsafe
conditions.
● Operates equipment as per operation guidelines and uses materials properly. Reports to Supervisor any failure to adhere to state,
federal, or county regulations, and/or KENL INN, INC. work ethics and standards.
● Reports to Supervisor any deviation from scheduling or quality of service that may become a potential liability or result in client
complaints.
● Performs related work as required.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES
● Ability to work at short notice, due to call-offs and when current associates are sick
● Ability to properly handle, exercise, and control a variety of pets.
● Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers and other employees.
● Ability to apply common sense and understanding to conduct detailed written or oral instructions.
● Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide.
● Ability to solve problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
● Skilled at working with a diverse group of co-workers
● Strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task.
● Must be able to work independently, under pressure meeting client demands and company timelines.
● Ability to maintain confidentiality of customer and company information, including personnel matters
● Ability to adjust or adapt to a variety of personalities and work habits.
● Knowledge of KENL INN Code of Ethics, Pet Care Code of Ethics, KENL INN policy, law, and ability to implement principals
and regulations within job duties and interactions
● Must be able to communicate and handle conflict in a professional manner
● Ability to accept feedback and contribute to building a positive team spirit
● Ability to wear personal protective equipment and uniforms as required to maintain safe working conditions

Facility Maintenance Associate
Ken-Inn Facility Maintenance Associate, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of all mechanical, electrical, and structural systems within our facility. Your expertise will help create a safe and comfortable environment for our pets and staff, contributing to an exceptional guest experience.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintenance and Repairs: Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems to ensure they are in optimal working condition.
- Emergency Response: Respond promptly to emergency situations, such as power outages, plumbing leaks, and equipment failures, and take necessary actions to mitigate the impact on guests and staff.
- Equipment Monitoring: Monitor and maintain facility equipment, including to ensure its reliability and safety.
- Energy Efficiency: Implement energy-saving measures and eco-friendly practices to reduce utility costs and minimize the facilities environmental footprint.
- Project Management: As requested by General Manager
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment inspections, and work orders to track maintenance history and plan for future maintenance needs.
- Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with all safety standards and regulations, conducting regular safety inspections and addressing any identified hazards promptly.
- Training and Support: Provide training and guidance to staff on safety procedures and equipment operation to promote a safe working environment.
- Vendor Relations: Coordinate with external contractors, suppliers, and vendors for specialized maintenance and repair services when necessary.
- Budget Management: Assist in budget planning by providing input on maintenance and repair needs and controlling expenses within budgetary constraints.
- Routinely mow KENL INN properties including the front, sides, agility field, and hiking trail
- Routinely trim grasses and plants to acceptable height
- Control noxious weeds with the use of chemicals
- Remove snow in parking lots using a tractor
- Brush and sanitize play yards
Requirements and Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications or vocational training in relevant fields preferred.
- Proven experience in facility maintenance, or a related role.
- Knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
- Familiarity with building codes, safety regulations, and energy-efficient practices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in emergency situations.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Good communication skills for interacting with guests, staff, and external partners.
- Physical fitness and stamina to perform manual labor and lift heavy objects.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
- Knowledge of maintenance management systems is a plus.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of customer and company information

- Valid driver's license required
