Your dog needs to know the RULES in order to become a valued member of your family and neighborhood.

Its important for your dog to learn some manners too! Wouldnt it be nice if your dog didn't Jump Up? Beg at the Table? CHARGE out the door when you open it?

Learning the basics: sit, down, come when called, walk on leash without pulling, and stay are essential to provide for the safety and happiness of your dog. A trained dog is a Happy Dog!!

Having your dog trained helps strengthen the bond between you and your dog and increases the enjoyment, companionship, and relationship with your dog. A trained dog makes for a Happy Owner!!

Every dog is different. Some are laid back, some hyperactive, others are shy and need more self-confidence, and then there are those who have too much confidence.

No ONE training technique will work on every dog. The "Personal Trainer" program is structured training using a combination of gentle, effective, humane, firm & safe methods.

It's never too late to have your dog trained. It may take longer to train your adult dog because of the time needed to spend re-training the undesirable behaviors.

OBEDIENCE

Our goal is to offer a training program that fits your needs. Give us a call to register for group classes, or speak to a trainer regarding individual training.

Puppy- (8wks-4mths old) $60.00/4 weeks. Socialization with other dogs & people. New puppy topics such as: 
biting,   
housebreaking, 
 grooming, etc. 
Teaching manners: 
sit, down,  come,  don't jump up.
Basic Obedience (4 mo & older) $90.00/6 weeks. Socialization around other dogs & people. Teaching manners: Walk without pulling, Come when called, Sit, Down, Stay, Bite inhibition exercises. 
Whether your dog has been through Puppy Class,  or hasn't attended any classes yet, you will benefit from the exercises learned in the Basic class.
Rally Obedience $60.00/4 weeks. Another fun class with lots of different exercises that allows you to:
 1) teach your dog new things 
2) take your newly learned skills into the AKC competition ring 
3) teach your dog more manners
 
Intermediate $90.00/6 weeks. (Dog has been through Basic and/or kinda knows: sit, down, stay, come) Attention/distraction training while performing the Basic exercises. 
Off leash control. Therapy Dog exercises. Canine Good Citizen exercises. Just about anything else you want your dog to learn.
 
Competition $90.00/6 weeks. (For the dog/handler team that knows they are interested in competing in obedience trials) 
Starting your young dog out with more motivational, yet precision, exercises geared toward the ring. 
More attention & distraction training for those dog/handler teams that have already been through a Basic or Intermediate class. 
Getting ready to show. 
Handling, ring procedures. 
Fetching, jumping, working at a distance, etc.
 
Tracking $60.00/4 weeks. Introduction to the Wonderful World of AKC Tracking.
 

Conformation $90.00/6 weeks. Teaching the owner & dog proper gait, stacking, baiting, ring procedure and everything else that goes along with showing your dog in AKC Breed shows.

This class is taught by members from the Cornhusker Kennel Club

  

INDIVIDUALIZED TRAINING

We also offer Individualized training.       $40.00/half hour training when you come to KENL INN for private lessons.   

 $40/half hour training when you request that your dog be trained while staying at KENL INN.  (This is for keeping your dog's skills polished while you are gone. - Not jumping up.   Door manners.   Come when Called.  Loose Leash Walking. etc - just ask!  If we can do it - we will !!)

AGILITY

 Shelly Jakubowski is Kenl Inn's Agility instructor.

Her knowledge of the Agility equipment, training & competition experience gives students what they need to have fun with their dogs, be safe! and be competitive.

Classes being offered:

Introductory - (4mo and older). $60.00/4 weeks. Dog should know their name. All exercises are on leash. Introduction to contact points, tunnel, A-frame, Dog walk, jumps (at a low setting), and weave poles.

Basic & Beyond - $90.00/6 weeks. Dog has been through Introductory course and/or is comfortable with the tunnel, dog walk, A-frame, jumps. Dog should know sit, stay, and come when called. Exercises taught include: teeter, chute, sequencing, handling techniques & obstacle discrimination. 

RENTALS

Our Gym and Agility areas are also available for individual rental (call for appointment) $4.00per person/hour.   This gives you even more chances to train or meet up with some friends to train together. Our gym is heated and air conditioned so you can train in comfort, and our Agility field is completely fenced, so unless your dog is a real jumper off leash training (or just running) is safe.
